PROJECT DETAILS
Due to the 1200 mm Ø exposed pipeline situated over a river and close to the ocean, additional corrosion protection was required on the already polyurethane-coated pipeline.
The Steelcoat 500™ System comprises of: Denso Primer D™ (a deep penetrating primer), Denso™ Acrylic Tape (a tough acrylic backing laminated to a thick rubber bitumen adhesive compound) and Denso™ Acrylic Topcoat (single pack waterborne synthetic copolymer coating).
The sub-contractor, VZ Coatings applied the Denso™ Acrylic Tape which was spirally wrapped at a 55% overlap and Denso were on site to assist the contractor during the application.
The project commenced in September 2019 and was completed in February 2020.
