PROJECT DETAILS
The client required a reliable solution to encapsulate and close the cathodic protection (CP) points on a xtalene pipe. The existing CP points needed a permanent seal to ensure effective corrosion prevention and system longevity.
To address this challenge, the following Denso products were applied:
• Denso Primer D – adhesion-promoting primer
• Denso Butyl Mastic Triangular Strips – for sealing irregular surfaces and gaps
• Densotherm HD 200mm x 6.5m patches – cut to 200mm x 200mm, for durable and long-lasting protection
The permanent CP point seal provides long-term corrosion prevention. Mastic strips and Densotherm HD patches work together to provide effective mechanical protection. The system was quick and easy to apply, minimizing downtime and reducing labour cost.
