PROJECT DETAILS
Over the past two decades, the original Covercoat system has demonstrated exceptional durability and long-term effectiveness, despite the need for reapplication of a surface-tolerant epoxy every two years. However, due to a lack of routine maintenance, certain areas of the Covercoat have deteriorated and now require refurbishment.
This case study highlights the resilience of the Covercoat system and the ease of its refurbishment process, ensuring continued protection and performance.
Benefits:
• Minimum surface preparation required (ST2 standard).
• No issues identified with soluble salts.
• Simple and straightforward application process.
• Consistent film thickness achieved across the entire system.
• Application does not require specialized equipment.
